Pod 3: A sacred song by Sol, bees and birds

At an ancient ritual-place you hear bees, birds and soft musical tones. This week’s podcast is short and beautiful, even without a single word been spoken. It is less than two minutes long. It is part of a sacred ceremony for the female deity close to (and left of) “Gravfelt Hunn” in the south-east of Norway. What could be closer to sacredness in nature, than nature itself?

The song is created next to what looks like an (yet unrecognized) stone alter, threatened by bulldozers. A huge part of the surrounding area has already been destroyed. Could the west part of “Gravfelt Hunn“ be corresponding to the female side, the sacred ritual-side? This is the impression of Sol Diez, a musician and shaman from Colombia, partly a Kogi, sharing this beautiful song with us. He is travelling the world trying to raise awareness for protection of mother earth.

This tiny, yet huge, podcast was made days after the Sarahkkas-festival this summer, where he had been an active musician and conductor of several ceremonies. He is coming back to Norway next week, and might then be able to visit the sacred and threatened mountain Rásttigáisá in Tana.
